Taylor Silverstein
The person
behind the
record.
I’m Taylor Silverstein, an independent investor, digital designer and publisher based in Kent. I am building a personal portfolio and a connected body of work across markets, technology and long-term projects. The objective is not simply to own more, but to understand more, and to make the reasoning behind the work increasingly clear over time.
My route has not been conventional. Volunteering, hospitality, groundskeeping and food manufacturing gave me a practical understanding of service, operations and consistency. Later placements with the Department for Work and Pensions and a mortgage broker added another view of institutions, finance and the decisions people make around money.
Those experiences taught me that durable work is rarely built through one grand gesture. It is built through judgement, repetition and the willingness to keep improving when nobody is watching. That is the standard I bring to investing, design and every project carrying my name.
Personal capital. Independent work. Public disclosure. This website does not represent an investment fund, asset-management service or offer of regulated financial advice.
A grounded
route forward.
Finance gave me a language for ownership. Ordinary work gave me respect for what every functioning organisation demands.
Family connection through my grandmother’s work at Walker Crips. Time spent around the workplace after school made companies, capital and the routines of an investment business feel less abstract from an early age.
Seven years supporting the day-to-day work of a Scope charity shop.
Five years working in a hotel restaurant and learning consistency through service.
Seasonal work maintaining the grounds of a holiday park.
Factory work within food manufacturing before leaving the sector in 2023.
Placements with the Department for Work and Pensions and a mortgage broker.
Selected
systems.
Separate platforms for separate jobs. The personal site is the front door; specialist work lives where it belongs.

Long-term ownership.
Private companies, public markets and other assets documented with a focus on ownership rather than hype.
Independent products.
Web tools and small digital systems designed around usefulness, clarity and control.
Ideas with receipts.
Research, market notes and projects that are intended to be inspectable rather than mystical.
Taylor
Turquoise.
Deep enough to feel institutional, distinctive enough to own. It sits between private-bank green and modern turquoise without drifting into Tiffany territory.
One cause.
Clear support.
My selected philanthropic focus is Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, whose work centres on animal welfare, rehabilitation and rehoming. I selected Battersea for the depth and longevity of its work and its practical focus on giving animals a better future.
For absolute clarity: I do not own Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. I do not control, operate, manage or hold any ownership interest in Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. My support is personal only. Taylor Silverstein and silverstein.co.uk are not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by, sponsored by, employed by, representing, or in partnership with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. This website does not collect or process donations; any support is made through Battersea’s own official channels.
